Lifeguard (Ages 15+)
If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or challenging career that’s in demand, the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the best place to start. Lifeguarding lets you work as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water. You could even save a life! Learning is fun and easy!

A refund will NOT be issued if a participant fails the course or misses any day of class.

April 7th (5pm-9pm)
April 8th (12:30pm-6:30pm)
April 9th (1pm-5pm)
April 14th (5pm-9pm)
April 15th (12:30pm-6:30pm)
April 16th (1pm-4pm)
TCDD does not guarantee that every student will pass the course. To obtain certification, the student must attend all classes and satisfy all certification course requirements to obtain certification. If the student has any questions as to the certification course requirements, the student should contact TCDD staff prior to registering for the course.
To enroll in the Nocatee Lifeguard Training, you must be able to complete all of the following skills on the first class night:
- Swim 300 yards continuously, using front the crawl/freestyle or breaststroke.
- Swim 20 yards using front the crawl/freestyle or breaststroke, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards on your back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
- Tread water for 2 minutes with only using legs.
